Plugin added: “Net Zero Website”.

Hello,

I'm going to write in English to get a quicker answer.

I'm the manager of https://www.alucare.fr/ and I have some questions about this plugin.

Will it slow down the site for our visitors?

Is there a way to know the cost in CO2 that our visitors generate on our site?

Our site alucare.fr is a help site for video games (especially mobile games like Raid Shadow Legends) and internet news (Social Media). And after reading an article on reforestation, I want to do something to decarbonize visits to the site.
By the way, if you have any tips on how to reduce page loads, we're always open to advice.

Thanks :)

Hi There,

I'm Nicci, one of the Product Managers here at Tree-Nation.

In answer to your question about our plugin slowing down your site, the simple answer is no. There should be no performance issues when using our widget.

Regarding the cost of C02 - globally, the average web page produces approximately 0.8 grams CO2 equivalent per pageview. For a website with 10,000 monthly page views, that's 102 kg CO2e per year (source: https://www.websitecarbon.com/)

We love that you're aware and willing to take action to decarbonize your site visits and look forward to seeing the Net Zero Widget there soon.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for your reply Nicci Gowing I'll look into it :)

But the comment by marguerite I do not understand it looks like advertising
