Hi Cynthia,
This is Alejandra, Communications Coordinator at Tree-Nation. I’m saddened to hear you're saying goodbye, and we'd love to understand more about the frustrations you've experienced. For example, I haven’t encountered issues adding pictures to seeds myself. If you could share more details about the device or browser you're using, we’d be grateful for the insight. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we'd like to help if we can.
Thank you!
I understand you Cynthia. This situation doesn't motivate me to continue either. On my last tree, I put an image with the required size, but it looks small, my old trees have smaller images and they look better... For now I will continue watering, but I won't plant seeds until the system is normalized (although it seems that the direction it is going is not the best for me, since I don't use my mobile to water). I think that a network like Tree Nation should focus more on trees, in fact that is what motivates me, seeing new trees and new plantations. I think that the supposed advances following other social networks are a mistake. The continuous upload is something that, intentionally or not, can lead to addiction and of course, it is frustrating. Not very ecological. Tree Nation has to follow its own path and distinguish itself from other networks by its activity, focused on planting trees, which is what is important.
Dear all,
I had the same issue with loading pictures and have tried different methods because it drove me crazy.
I have found out that if you, I am talking about mobile phones, go to the picture you saved and want to use, make a print screen of this picture, cut the right size—I mean the bottom and the top—and save this picture again, you can now upload this picture without problems. I have done this with the last two pictures for my posting and not had issues. It's a workaround, but not very complicated.
Maybe, Cynthia, this can change your mind, if not I am very sad about your leaving, but of course wishing you all the best and maybe we meet again one day. Thank you for your present!
Take care dear!
Dear Cynthia,
I am very saddened by your decision but I understand you. We will miss you.
I do not use my phone but my computer. I have resized my images. I even saved some images others recently posted here as seeds and those were not accepted either. I didn't want to get into this, but my bank acct has been hacked twice since the changeovers. I will dearly miss you all.
😥 dear Cynthia, so sad to hear this ... but with a bank hack, I'm shocked 😱 and understand easily your decision, this is unbearable ...
I'm always using a temporary alias number, provided by my bank, for online payments ... i guess you did complain to your own bank ? And to your local police department? Or FBI ?
Have a nice weekend, take care ☯️🙏🏼
It seems that the changes are designed for those who use mobile phones. Because of my age, I am supposed to have and use a smartphone, but I refuse to do so. Although society and even public institutions force you to do so, I still have my bit of rebellion, especially when they try to impose something on me. As for payment, I buy credits with my internet credit card to avoid problems.
Cynthia,
I'm very sad to read this.
I use only my mobile phone so don't have the same issues that you do uploading photos, but I do constantly feel like the game is going to crash on me.
I will miss you and hope that you once again have a change of heart.
Whatever you decide to do you will be sorely missed xx
Dear Cynthia, I'm very sorry to read this. You will be missed. Thank you for everything 🌱🌳💛
Cynthia, you have a tree from me waiting to be picked up. (e-mail sent on October 26).
We've spotted the issue. We'll be adding a fix very soon. Thanks for reporting.
I’m sorry about all the problems you’ve been having Cynthia. When it becomes this frustrating, why would you want to stick around? It’s a shame, mostly for those who will miss you to be honest. As for doing your bit to help the environment, there are always so many other things you can do besides Treenation and it is all important, no matter which you choose. Maybe just come by now and again to say ‘hi’, if you feel inclined. Hugs and love, Joana 🩷🤗
Dear Cynthia, I understand your decision and respect it. I've often thought the same thing in recent months...
But I think it would be silly to stop taking pleasure in doing good by planting trees and lighting up the happy faces of people who look at them for a little grain of sand in the wheels...
In other words: NO, DON'T GO!
I'll miss you, take care, Cédric. 💚💚💚
per Max Renaudin I will give it another 2 wks see how it goes, Thank you Cedric, still weighing if the aggravation is worth it. Thank you, Brida, for your gift and I will check on an internet card.
@Cynthia: As long as you're enjoying yourself, it'll all be worth it... be brave...
