I am an elderly and ordinary mother and grandmother who is seriously, very seriously concerned about the state of our planet. By planting trees I can help just a little bit to mend our damaged environment. Although I cannot go out and plant trees myself, I can pay a modest amount every month so other people can do so.

These saplings are just 1.5 years old but have already outgrown an average adult of 6ft! That’s some impressive growth! Nature, when left to thrive, never fails to surprise.

When we wait for the rains to come then sometimes the seedlings need a bit of irrigation to keep them from getting thirsty. Lois shows how one woman can carry 10 jerry cans from the planting site back to the watersource for refilling. Well done Lois!
