Tree seedlings are ready to plant and sell in the Mount Kenya Tree Nursery. Kenya is currently experiencing a dry period so we are waiting for the rains to start (usually in October) to plant trees on the mountain.

Our 5 year plan to build a Forest Visitor Centre on the climate change front line in Kenya is finally coming into being. With help from Tree-Nation corporate donors we are building the first part of this unique research and volunteering base which will ultimately provide the community

Cutting trees down is not always a bad thing! These casuarina trunks were planted only 10 years ago and are now on site ready for the construction of our new #ForestCentre...... If you cut down a tree and use it as firewood or charcoal then all of its absorbed carbon will return

When Tree-Nation donors support the project in Bore, they also help the community develop sustainable income streams. Instead of cutting down forest to sell for cash as charcoal, this family are using their sponsorship cash to buy in pure bread goats which can graze on deforested
