Our project restores key areas like old service roads and weedy reserves to increase habitat for wildlife such as Southern Cassowaries and Bennetts Tree-kangaroos. We select sites based on access, community input, and their potential for creating wildlife corridors. Our goal is to plant 500,000 indigenous trees by 2030, with nearly 27,000 already planted since 2018 to help regenerate the Daintree Rainforest.

Featured tree: this pretty fruit is an Orange-fruited Kurrajong (Sterculia quadrifida) - showing ripe dehisced fruit and seed. This tree features in most of our plantings and the seed is eaten by many rainforest birds. It is also edible by humans and tastes of mild peanuts.

Following on from yesterday's update - area DL143A - 14 months later. This area was 2m high introduced Guinea Grass. All gone and replaced with native rainforest vegetation. You can help plant more by supporting our projects.

Strip planting 1000 trees on area DL143A. This area was 2m high introduced Guinea Grass. All gone and replaced with native rainforest vegetation. You can help plant more by supporting our projects.

252 more trees planted for World Cassowary Day on site DL139C. So nice to have two local residents and an interstate traveller join us for the morning. This is part of a larger 920 tree project and you can help us to plant more trees for Cassowaries and Bennett's Tree-kangaroos.

Great work.

One of our beautiful epiphytic mistletoes which grows in the Daintree is (Dendrophthoe curvata). They provide much valuable fruit to our rainforest birds and of course, just need trees to grow on. Help us plant more trees with Tree-nation and we thank you in advance.
