Mlola Biodiversity Restoration

Mlola Biodiversity Restoration, Tanzania

Our project focuses on restoring biodiversity by engaging local communities in education and tree planting. The Usambara Mountains' forests have suffered from deforestation due to agricultural expansion and logging. We are working to restore these forests by planting native trees and raising environmental awareness in nearby villages.

Sometimes we collect seeds from local forests. This work is done by the people native to this land, as they are familiar with the nearby forests.
When they bring seeds, we weight them through buckets and then pay according to the price per bucket. This way we can get more seeds
