COBEC in partnership with Kenya Forest Service conducted a planting activity in Mida Creek whereby 16000 seedling have been planted restoring different sites. species planted were Ceriops tagal and Rhizophora mucronata species.

During monitoring exercise on planted sites last week, I managed to visit a site which was planted back in 2013 by COBEC Projects, this site was restored by planting Ceriops tagal (mangrove species) and now has been converted to forest.
