This is exciting news!
The shift back to a company structure makes a lot of sense given the ambitious goal of planting 1 trillion trees. Keep up the great work, Tree-Nation team! 🌳
This article was such an eye-opener! Well done Tree Nation!! Your determination to adapt gives me more hope in your mission. Here's to 1 trillion trees by 2050!!
Well, but nothing is woking on this page anymore and a lot of people leaving.......
In "Setting up for success" you say: "Companies have changed the world, in many good ways, with the clear exception of the protection of our environment. Even on social terms, countries with the most successful companies also have the best infrastructures, the freest information, the greatest supply of food and medicine and the wealthiest people. Business is simply an effective vehicle to achieve growth and wealth distribution." Are you sure that this is true? Sorry, I am not.
Anyway, I wish you all the best and I ask you please don't treat us little contributors like second class, thank you
Hi Natalia, we certainly don't treat little contributors differently. Tree-Nation has been created for individuals first and foremost. There are many cool features we will launch this year to make our citizens experience more enjoyable. Including on the Seed game.
I guess we can agree that there are some great companies out there, and also some appalling ones. Companies have great power to make change happen. Whether this change is positive depends a lot on each company's values and team. In our case, our values and team haven't changed. But now we have more tools to succeed.
cheers
Hi Maxime,
but it's very interessting, to say it friendly, that since you sold this before well working platform,
nothing here is working anymore correctly, the people are leaving, because what took before maybe
30 minutes to spend your drops to your friends, takes now the double time and it's very frustrating that
pages are not loading, everything is slow, very slow..... I try to find a reason to stay and continue, because I loved the idea, but this is no fun at all anymore, to no one here!
Hi Maxime,
unfortunately I agree with what Petra says, because there have been complaints about the platform for some time, it's not nice to say but everything seems to be getting worse and worse and then I wonder, if the people who work in the company are the same ones who will follow the non-profit part it is logical that they will give priority to the part that produces profits...
You say you want to launch nice micro-conservation projects to be implemented on the non-profit platform and other captivating changes to the seed game but for now it's just a promise, meanwhile people are losing enthusiasm.
We'll see later
Dear Natalia,
I wrote to customer service, but just got a short reply, sounds like a KI answer... we are trying to fix it...
I wrote back that it seems they are not interested in us anymore, we are keeping this platform alive with our money and time... but as you say, we will see later. I have holidays and searching for a page like this, a lot of non-profit organizations are planting trees, so this is not a problem to find, but I really appreciate the contact to you guys and I would miss it :)
Dear Petra,
it's the same for me, it wouldn't be difficult to change platforms but it's very different to plant trees by simply paying a fee instead of planting by having contact with all the TreeNation friends and it seems like a shame to me. For now I'm holding out, we'll see for a while
Hi Maxime,
Greetings from Tanzania
That great and very interesting to get it back to original ownership, the platform was working absolutely gorgeous and payments ware made on due date not like now no payment for three to four quarters, unbelievable, nothing here is working anymore correctly, the people are leaving, and kept changing news staffs.
Fingers crossed and let’s hope for the best
Yassin Madiwa
Interesting to hear from one of the projects; disappointing to hear you are not getting paid! Let's hope things improve soon
Hello Yassin, this is Catherine reaching out on behalf of our Environment team, who oversee these matters.
Our Environment team is actively addressing your complaint and has held two meetings to date to review your records. I am told you have one final meeting with our new Director of Environment coming up on Monday July 1st, which will close this investigation and resolve the issue. She is eager to connect with you and make sure all the records are aligned so that both Tree-Nation and Friends of Usambara can completely focus on reforestation efforts. We kindly ask that you bring any remaining questions to that meeting, as this Forum is dedicated to our platform users rather than project holders. Many thanks in advance for your cooperation.
For comments regarding the transition, Maxime will continue replying below.
Dear Petra & Natalia,
this year we have invested a lot in our IT and Product team to improve all our features. (We will soon release a Blog post about this). It includes speeding up the site. We have already made a major change that should have improved speed in the SeedGame. There are still a lot to do. We are not standing still on this but it will take about 2 months before we can have a really speedy website. It's one of our main priorities by the way.
Our speed progressively went worse for a very positive reason: it's very much linked to the number of trees we plant. The more trees, the bigger are our database tables to process. There are plenty of technical solutions to this, so it's a perfectly solvable issue.
As a note, there are lots of internal changes and scaling up of our capacity that makes our company so much better prepared for improvements. However, as you can imagine, the changes are not notable the day a new person joins our team. It takes time to reach full speed in our development. We are at this point where we can see this internally but it's not yet reflected in our platform. We hope to positively surprise you in the coming months :)
Thank you very much Maxime for the updates and good work to the whole team.

Cher(e) undefined,
