Hi Kerry, thank you for this post ... tears dropping each time, still ... 😥💚💜 our mother-tree will be missed for ever ... special thoughts for Joana and her family, too ...
https://tree-nation.com/fr/forum/theme/6350-loss-of-trish-geidel-a-very-special-treenation-friend
Warm thanks and thoughts for all of you that are going on no mater what to continue her artwork here, every drop, message or like you are leaving here is a blooming flower to someone 💚🌹🤗
I guess the platform problems don't help, as the seeds game cannot be the same those times ... and many people leaved their monthly fee because of that, that's a sort of double sentence ...
I want to apologize to you all, because i didn't came often last month, i was following a course on agroforestry design (with above my knowledge technical content, not sure about what i could do with it now 😅) ... i'll try to water everyday again, as long as the site permits it ...
Take good care of yourselves, beloved people and trees, i hope you all are and keep well ❤
Hi Kerry,
I'm Alejandra, the new Communications Coordinator at Tree-Nation.
The loss of Sue (and Trish) has been a shock to us at Tree-Nation, and we understand the deep void that they have left in our community of sponsors. We appreciate your initiative to start a topic page for sharing feelings to keep their memories alive.
In honor of Sue and Trish, we have planted 500 trees each under our #InMemoryOf tag. We also appreciate the contributions of our community members who have planted trees in their memory.
Your continued support helps us pay tribute to their Tree-Nation legacy.
I didn’t know Sue very long, but I do understand of course how she’s missed from so many here.
Good thoughts and a lot of positivity from me to you 🥰
Hello Alejandra, do you still have this cooperation with Udinas? I do not find this on you page anymore? I have plant and do plant every year a tree for my love who left to early this world.
@ Kerry and all,
Maybe we could do this for Sue and Trish as well.
So I've left it a while to post my comment..... I knew Sue for some years, we met on a Zoo app where you could add your own animal art and others could gift art to your Zoo, obviously Sue's drawings were amazing, then we went on to Earthkeepers.....watering trees, chatting to others, that really was a very social app and a group of them even met up to physically plant a real tree that they could later visit. Then Sue introduced me to this app, she was always VERY passionate about the world we live in, I think we knew that from her posts and comments, the money she donated, the loans she made on Kiva.
During lockdown she would teach English lessons to her neighbours for free.
She didn't suffer fools lightly, but she seemed to have a soft spot for me, I never felt on the same intellectual level as her, she was very clever and well travelled but she was very kind to me and patient too.
I knew she had the same awful condition my late husband had which was COPD, a very debilitating condition, I don't know if it was this that took our dear friend from us? All I know is that I miss her everyday 😔 Well after crying whilst typing this I'm going to end by saying.... you were an amazing human Sue, kind, compassionate, very caring, very funny but you weren't aware that you were which made it funnier and I think of you all the time, you are free from pain and this is my farewell to you. Rest in peace xxx
Lovely Kerry. Thank you. That‘s another such beautiful post of you in memory of Sue. You‘ve already said so much and it‘s impossible to equal the beauty of your words in her memory, really.
I haven‘t been as good a friend to Sue as you and I miss her so very much as well. Her wisdom, her wit, her compassion, overall her passion in making Earth a better place for everyone. And she most definitely succeeded, be it through her contributions through those various sites (this one, amongst so many others) but also referring us to them.
I met her through Earthkeepers (sponsored by Timbaland or Timberland) as well. OMG! that was such a fun application. Do you remember when the FB app was so successful that they planted far more trees than originally planned? And many of the community are still in touch :-) . I didn‘t know you were an EEK as well :-) . There was another FB app Spare a click (via Care2) that Sue and I used together as well, I think.
Like you said, I miss Sue incredibly as well :( . Somehow, I‘m sure she‘d have succeeded in convincing TN in making improvements to this site much faster. She was one of the extremely rare true forces of and for nature and people, one that I‘ll also forever hold dear in my heart and can never forget. She truly has an eternal positive, motivating and inspiring impact on Earth through the friends and acquaintances who continue doing good in her legacy and memory… and through being told about even others can follow in her footsteps by just aspiring to be a bit like her. She truly was an exceptional lady <3 .
OMG Linda, I'd forgotten about Spare a Click, yes I used to do that too, Sue had a way about her of wanting you to better understand the world we live in and to make improvements and contributions to the environment, not necessarily financially but with your carbon footprint......
Thank you for adding your words, I just wanted somewhere that we could share our thoughts xxx
Petra I think that's a lovely idea 🌳💞
Dear Kerry,
this is the link for the Udinas, maybe you may like to start and let us know, then everyone who likes can add a tree to it as well?
https://www.udianas.net/udianas
Petra is there a way to edit a udiana tree once it's been created, I created one for my late husband but didn't check his details before creating it, I'm so annoyed with myself!
Hi Kerry
I don’t think you can edit a tree, maybe you can ask on their website? Understand that you are annoyed 😔
So I have acted on Petra's suggestion and created a Udiana, we can purchase trees and add them to Sue's Udiana thereby creating a forest in her name, continuing her good work 💚
The link to this is

I believe this is a lovely act ❤️🍃❤️
Petra tree number two in the forest for Sue 💚🌳 and I also contacted admin yesterday and they changed Vics surname for me 🤗
Yes loved to give life to a new tree for Sue 🙏🫶😢
