A great start of the new year. On 3 January we planted another 1000 trees at the temple site in Muang Rae. 2020 is going to be a year filled with even more planting events than last year. We hope you are as excited as we are!

We just finished 2 planting days on this hill right under a temple in Muang Rae. The view on top is absolutely stunning and we were even surprised by rain in the middle of the dry season. Great news for the newly planted trees!

We can see many seeds hanging from our trees around our main project site at the moment! We wait for the perfect timing to collect them, after which we can use them in our tree nursery. Here you can see them hanging from a beautiful Yellow India tree.

This morning we planted another 320 trees at our Paradise location. At this moment we had only just started, so the truck was still full! We planted 50% yellow trumpet flower and 50% tamarind.

Lantana camara, an exotic invasive species to be removed and replaced with native tree species. Invasive species like Lantana camara in the area adversely impact the forest health. Lantana camara will often compete with other more desirable species, leading to a reduction in biodiversity.

We have many different types of fruit trees growing on our project site to attract insects and to encourage seed dispersal by birds and bats, among other things. Here you see some deliciously looking guava.

At the moment you can see numerous amounts of trees with beautiful yellow flowers all around Pai. There are several different species of them, but all stunning in their own unique way. This picture was taken today at our main project site. What a treat for the eye!
