Although the snowpack is much shallower than it should be (or let’s face the situation and say as it used to be) in the Hășmaș mountain, where we planted spruce, beech, maple, and rowan species in the spring, the frost keeps the seedlings in their dormant, inactive state.
Not so the foxes! They – just like this guy in the picture taken by our camera trap mounted just under the planting site (https://maps.app.goo.gl/YxGjHRmTfHQAN4Y8A ) – are looking for a mate as they have just entered their prime mating season.
And they let everybody know that love is in the air :)
