Mangroves usually take about 20 to 30 years to hit their full height, depending on the species and the environment they’re growing in. Some can shoot up to 30 meters, but it all comes down to the right conditions and a bit of time.

Periodically our team measures the height and diameter of the mangrove trees that we planted. This we do to see the survival rates, and also plan future actions to enhance the impact of our efforts.

Our local planting team is being transported by boat to the Kenyan coast to plant mangroves. Thi is essential to reach the furthest planting sites that aren't accessible by land.
