In 2022 the plan is to plant more valuable trees to more needy communities to cover both economic and conservation objectives. This is how it has just started in Muheza.

We are so thankful and appreciative to have super improved survival rates. In last 12 months hundreds of thousands of trees were raised and planted in 5 areas within and adjacent to Amani Forests, now 87% of them surviving in good health.

The nursery beds do not just carry destiny for forestry, they mean life careers to attendants who spend hours sawing, watering and tending to earn daily living.

Insistence on crop diversities does not just provide food for the people, it cuts deforestation rates up 70%. Basically, this means if hunger is won most of the forest parts can be well preserved. Here is a progressing part of the effort.

Our tree nurseries in schools are meant to create platforms for pupils and students to discuss and therefore learn global multidisciplinary environmental issues including the general purpose for planting trees. It is just a part of our effort to nurture and sustain the future.

In most cases monoculture has never been worth for the farmers. Agroforests we initiated a few months ago are now serving the farmers with both food and crops they sell to earn living.

Tectona grandis (Teak) a tropical hard wood species of the family lamiaceae, we mostly advice farmers with small farming plots to plant in bounderies. This highly commecial tree serves greatly to improve farmers income.

Passion plant (Passiflora edulis), a friendly dweller that the farmers include in agro forests produces the most marketable natural flavored fruit juice richer in vitamin C. We admit to be out of stock now! However new beds will soon be available.

Tree quality management starts from when a sapling is at these early stages. Monitoring a number leaves, vegetation rates and the general seedling health is an important concern down here.

A generation of new hope in schools, as charity begins at home the 600 pupils of this primary school have committed themselves to plant 5000 trees around their school area to create shades they need much during heat times which prevents them from studying comfortably.
