Last week, we had the honor of participating in COP16 2024, where we shared Tree-Nation’s story, achievements, and mission with key stakeholders committed to combating desertification and climate change.

During our presentation, we proudly announced a new partnership with the UNCCD (United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification). Tree-Nation will now act as a funding bridge for a range of projects supported by the UNCCD, strengthening efforts to restore degraded lands worldwide.
The UNCCD is the only legally binding international agreement addressing desertification, land degradation, and drought in dryland areas. Over 25 years, it has supported thousands of projects in 130+ countries, providing resources and expertise to help communities restore and manage their land sustainably.

This partnership allows us to expand our impact, supporting our high-quality reforestation initiatives endorsed by the UNCCD. It reinforces our mission to tackle desertification by empowering projects that are turning degraded landscapes into thriving ecosystems.

As part of this new partnership, new reforestation projects are joining our platform. These projects mark Tree-Nation’s expansion into three new countries where we’ve never worked before, supporting local communities and restoring diverse ecosystems across the globe.
