Research shows that protecting these forests is essential to preventing irreversible climate breakdown. Since 2007, we’ve helped farmers grow new food and timber crops that enhance biodiversity and reduce pressure on the threatened forests, ensuring long-term sustainability.

Neem trees grow surprisingly fast. These ones are only around 9 years old and already are close to producing a closed canopy. Due to its antiseptic properties, Neem timber is resistant to attack from termites and so is highly prized as a building material in this part of Kenya. Each
