After months of seed collection efforts it is finally time to prepare the nursery for the 2024 tree planting season! Everyone at Sacred Seeds agrees it is always one of our favorite times of year, calmer temperatures ahead and the joy of new life sprouting all around us.

Can you believe it is 2024 already? Lets start it with some new seedlings for the new year.

To celebrate the new year we are planting a few Bixa Urucurana in the sacred seeds garden to mark the start of 2024. This is a species with a long history of medicinal and alimentary use

Biochar, the miracle keystone to the soil repair process, and carefully prepared compost going into the ground moments before planting.

The soils in Vichada are nutrient depleted from high rainfall and Biochar helps to lock those important food sources in the soil.
