Here is my latest album of photos taken during the early stages of planting at La Pedregoza in early July 2012:

This year we are planting some 212 hectares (523 acres) of trees, or just over 200,000 trees of many species, including the largest number of native trees ever. By the end of August 2012, we will have planted a total of around 960,000 trees at La Pedregoza, so just shy of the 1 million tree mark. Needless to say we are very proud of what we have accomplished with the generous support of Tree-Nation members and others. Some of the pictures feature a young eco-tourist from Nova Scotia, Canada, by the name of Benjamin Stephenson, and also my Mikisew Cree daughter Samantha Dombro from northern Alberta, who finally managed to visit the plantation. She is studying for her business degree at Penn State in the USA. I will post one more album from July 2012 with wildlife photos, because we also had a large number of WWF scientists visit our Reserva Natural La Pedregoza. The World Wildlife Fund was doing a biological characterization of some of the amazing biodiversity at La Pedregoza.
