Lost Forests Recovery in California

Our project focuses on restoring forests lost to recent wildfires in California. Wildfires are becoming more frequent and severe due to climate change, with rising temperatures and prolonged droughts following historically low rainfall. By replanting native trees and rehabilitating damaged ecosystems, we help these forests recover and build resilience against future wildfires.

Ecosystem Restoration & Livelihoods

Restoring ecosystems large and small protects and improves the livelihoods of people who depend on them. It also helps to regulate disease and reduce the risk of natural disasters. Restoration is creating and maintaining healthy, resilient forests capable of delivering all the benefits that people get from them: clean air and water, carbon sequestration, habitat for native fish and wildlife, forest products, opportunities for outdoor recreation, and more.
