Plant to Stop Poverty

Plant to Stop Poverty, Tanzania

Our project helps rural communities adopt agroforestry to combat poverty and the effects of climate change. This approach secures food and income while restoring and protecting forests through tree planting. With experience planting over 1,230,000 trees in different districts, we bring proven expertise to these initiatives.

Congratulations on the tree planting. I have been to Tanzania. The satellite map shows the lemon tree was planted close to buildings. Can you tell me where exactly it was planted - the exact location and the area as the satellite map does not help. Thank you.

Hello,

I want to ask about the citrus limon tree species in the plant to stop poverty project in Tanzania. The description mentions oranges, lemon and chungwa. I wanted to confirm that the tree species option contains orange and chungwa trees and not only lemon trees? Is this true? Please let me know. Thanks!

Hi,

I had the same question too. @Forest Focus can you please help provide a response? Thanks!

Hello,
We have two types of citrus species: Citrus limon (lemon) and Citrus sinensis, which is commonly known as orange or "chungwa". So yes, we have both lemon and orange trees as part of the species options, not just lemons.

Hi!

Could you inform us about the place where you are planting now? Already we see every planting zone full.

Hello Nicalia Internet S.L.U. great thanks for your compliments,

Please get informed of the two new planting sites added.
https://tree-nation.com/projects/protect-to-stop-hunger/site/lower-pangani-river
https://tree-nation.com/projects/protect-to-stop-hunger/site/msambiazi
Due to huge tree demand in many parts of Pangani river we are still extending along the banks to identify both farms and Pangani water basin degraded parts. All these will soon appear on sites section.

We are looking for a source of Gliricidia sepium trees to plant at a school in the Bukoba area. We see that you are planting Gliricidia sepium trees as part of this project. Could you tell us where we can purchase these trees? Thank you.

Hello planting team in Tanzania,
Your project is attractive for two reasons: you offer a nice variety of tree species at a very reasonable price and you provide frequent updates. Well done!

It seems that you managed to obtain the funding for all the seeds/trees that you were looking for ie it is currently not possible to add trees in Tree-Nation to your project?

Please consider expanding your capacity to grow the project beyond 97.777 trees. To how many trees can you scale the operations?

Kind regards
seed and grow

Hello Frank, congratulation for such efforts. I think that is more technical, could you try to present the challenge to Treenation officials by email or a live chat service available by just hitting an icon standing for that bellow the pages? I hope the issue will soon get solved.
