This little guy is a mudskipper—part fish, part land explorer.

Found in healthy mangrove ecosystems like those in Madagascar, mudskippers can breathe through their skin and even “walk” on land using their fins.

Their presence is a great sign that the mangroves are thriving.

Cashews are centre stage in our nursery at the moment, as we gear up for the coming planting season. These lovely trees are actually related to cactii - they have waxy leaves that reduce transpiration and are able to store up water in their trunks. This makes them incredibly drought

Monitoring the growth and progress of our tree nurseries!

Our project goes beyond tree planting by implementing additional restoration methods, such as using vetiver grass (Chrysopogon zizanioides).

This combination strengthens soil, prevents erosion, improves water retention, and restores nutrients, making it ideal for reforestation

Mangrove propagules are planted vertically in muddy ground, mimicking their natural process.

This helps them anchor securely, allowing roots to penetrate the soil and shoots to reach sunlight.

This method ensures high survival rates and supports the rapid growth of thriving mangrove
