Our project focuses on restoring forests lost to recent wildfires in California. Wildfires are becoming more frequent and severe due to climate change, with rising temperatures and prolonged droughts following historically low rainfall. By replanting native trees and rehabilitating damaged ecosystems, we help these forests recover and build resilience against future wildfires.

The best thing you can do in a forest is slow down.

Responsible ecotourism isn't about ticking off trails — it's about being present in a place, understanding what it took to grow, and leaving it exactly as you found it.

Forests thrive when the people who visit them care enough

Can a tree be resistant to fire?
Yes, the Giant Sequoia is. This beloved giant has three-foot-thick bark protecting its cambium layer and high branches preventing fire from reaching the canopy. Over thousands of years, it has developed these traits and its cones open with heat,

To help forests recover from wildfires, immediate actions include assessing damage, reforesting with native species, stabilizing soil, and removing hazardous debris. These steps promote regrowth, protect against erosion, and restore wildlife habitats, steering the ecosystem towards

Wildfires pose a critical risk to forests worldwide, with the potential to cause vast ecological damage. They not only decimate plant life but also displace wildlife, disrupt habitats, and release significant amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Furthermore, wildfires can

Understanding and educating about the risks of wildfires and how we can prevent them has never been more imperative, especially in an era marked by rapid climate change.

We are working hard to recover the forests that have been lost due to wildfires in Northern California. After a series of wildfires, the forests will never be the same. A necessary mix of tree species are being planted. More fire-resilient, native tree types have been chosen to prevent
