Surveying Sessile Oaks and their Allies

We are monitoring the seedlings planted in March and April. We have started counting the sessile oaks (Quercus petraea) and their accompanying species (birch and hawthorn) in circular plots on the foothills of Ciomad Mountain. The crickets provided a natural soundtrack to our work.
