Gifting a tree does not make an adopter. What does?

I gifted a tagged tree to someone who had engaged with my habit. I assumed that would add an adopter. It does not.

Measured before and after. Trees 51 to 52. Adopters 3 to 3. The tree counts, the person does not. The number follows whoever plants the tree, not whoever receives it, and I had already been counted.

The habit is about vet calls that turn out to be nothing. It sits at 52 trees and 3 adopters.

So what moves a habit from three to ten? I would rather hear what failed for you than what worked.

Hi Oliver,

That is a fantastic and kind idea of yours to gift a tree for that reason. What do you mean by someone having engaged with my habit? If that person already engaged (used) your habit then it is already an adopter. If you thereafter gift a tree with the same planting habit and that person collects the tree, it doesn´t add another adopter because this person is already an adopter.

Please clarify what ´had engaged with my habit´ means. In the meantime, I will confirm the adopter count with a tree gift. Great questions :)

It is fantastic to see you build the CalledTheVetAnyway planting habit - https://tree-nation.com/habit/CalledTheVetAnyway
