Our project aims to promote forest sustainability and nature conservation by integrating economic, environmental, and social aspects. Since 2002, we have been planting across Portugal, based on available sites, striving to improve both the environment and the quality of life for local communities, while building a better world for future generations.

Projektbeschreibung

Through our project we do not intend to change the world, but we trust that with the help of the right partners it will be possible to develop this project, responding to the growing concerns associated to deforestation, environmental degradation and social exclusion. We believe that a small gesture can make all the difference. We hope that we can make the day-to-day life of the populations, in the regions where we intervene, better.

Our project helps to provide a sustainability response to companies with a commitment to the areas of environmental and social responsibility. The partnership with national and multinational companies that from the first minute believed that it was possible to have forests, woods and green spaces again, has grown every year and has always presented surprising results.

Traditionally, any Pronatura project is summarised as a partnership between three entities:

1) Promoter: National Association of Forest, Agricultural and Environmental Companies (Anefa), which promotes the initiative and handles the entire logistical process;
2) Reforestation Partner: sponsors that provide the necessary funding t finance the forest plants;
3) Plant Recipient: Municipal Councils, Parish Councils, Parks and Nature Reserves, among other public spaces.

These actions are based on the supply of forest plants, as well as their planting, in some cases, by the employees of the sponsoring entity, in voluntary actions and all together we give our contribution to face the biggest challenges in the fight against climate change
