VCS Subsistence Farmer Program, Kenia

Our project is a community initiative empowering small groups of 96K farmers to combat the effects of deforestation and poverty through sustainable development and carbon sequestration. Sales of VCS/CCB carbon credits generate participant income while also addressing agriculture, HIV/AIDS, nutrition + fuel wood challenges. Tree-Nation adds to all trees the same CO2 of VCS certified projects.

Kenya's Rwarera Cluster held a meeting recently with 32 women and 20 men present. The topics covered included values, how to join, and the co-benefits created by farmers working with the program.
