To answer your requests. The main purpose of the processing of this data will be to answer your requests, resolve your queries and/or provide you with the required information, as well as, where appropriate, to follow up on your requests.

In this regard, please note that the data you provide on such platforms will be processed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant platform or social network. Therefore, we encourage you to keep yourself informed of the purpose and scope of the collection of information that is carried out through these platforms.

  • Employment Details: Only in case You register as a Company, we may collect data relating to the contact person representing the company (name and surname, professional e-mail address, link to the company's Site, position and/or department).
  • Additional information: When you create a profile on our Site, We ask for personal information, which you may provide on a voluntary basis, i.e. location, birthday, photo (avatar), as well as any additional information you wish to add.

2. Data we collect when you use the different spaces available through the Site:

The main purpose of processing Your personal data is to register You as a User on Our Site and give You access to the different available features You have as a registered user:

Please note that the photo you include in your profile may be visible to other users with whom you interact on the Site or, more generally, if you make a publication on the Site. All marked information is the information that will be made public from your profile. So, if you do not want it to be published, please do not include it.

3.5. When you collaborate with Our projects:

What are the ways of collecting the data?

 

  • “Plant a Tree” section of Our Site.

 

What data do we collect?

 

Identification and contact information. In order to collaborate in any of Our Plantation Project (defined below), You must be registered as a User on our Site. Therefore, in the event that you have not previously registered as a User, you must register as a User in order to contract any of our Services (See section 3.2.).

Transaction Data. Any order is payable by credit card and is processed via our external payment service provider. This service provider will receive your name and bank details in order to process payment and will notify us upon receipt of payment. We won’t store your payment information, but We do process your transaction information (i.e. when you paid, when payment was processed and the amount of your payment) for reporting purposes for ten years in combination with your identifying data.  

What are the purposes of the processing of your personal data?

 

  1. Performance of the contract to which you are a party. Tree-Nation allows citizens and companies to make donations to support Us in Our mission to plant trees in a selected panel of reforestation projects (hereafter referred to as “Plantation Project”).

 

Through the Site You can select the Plantation Project You want to support and select the species of tree(s) you want to be planted. Furthermore, We offer the possibility to add a photo and a message to personalize your tree(s).

 

Your data will be processed to fulfill the above purposes, which may also include administrative, tax, accounting and commercial management of the data. We can also send You updates, changes in our terms and conditions, security alerts, and other communications regarding Our relationship.

 

  1. Offer a tree to a third person. In case you offer a tree to a recipient, you can choose to do this by inviting a second person via a dedicated link or by providing his/her email. 

Therefore, by opting for offering a tree to a third person, your identifying data will be shared with the second person.

 

What are the legal grounds that allow us to process your data? Is the provision of this data obligatory?

 

Execution of the contract. The processing of the data is necessary for the execution of the contract between us. All data requested and processed by the US forby US for the above purposes will be necessary for the purposes indicated. If they are not provided, it will not be possible to perform the Services and to carry out the administrative tasks related to them.

3.9. TREE-NATION profiles in social networks.

WE have a profile on the main social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

When you become a follower of any of our pages on social networks, the processing of data will be governed by the terms of use, privacy policies and access regulations belonging to the corresponding social network and previously accepted by the user. 

WE, in this sense, will process your data for the purposes of correctly managing its presence on the social network, informing you of activities, products or services, as well as for any other purpose that the regulations of the social networks allow. 

Please note that we have no influence over the information that the social network collects or how it processes it, so we recommend that you keep yourself informed of the purpose and extent of the collection of information through these social networks.

 

4. RECIPIENTS OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The specific transfers of personal data we make are explained in Section 3 for each processing operation. In addition to the transfers mentioned above, the following transfers, which affect all processing operations, and their legal basis are explained:

  1. Providers of services essential to the provision of the Service We offer You (for example, computer hosting companies or platforms for sending commercial communications). Notwithstanding the foregoing, these entities have signed confidentiality and other agreements and will only process your data in accordance with our instructions and will not use it for their own purposes or for any purpose other than the service they provide to us.
  2. Public bodies. We may disclose to the competent public authorities the data and any other information in our possession or accessible through our systems when there is a legal obligation to do so, as well as when required, for example, when the purpose is to prevent or prosecute abuse of the services or fraudulent activities through our Site or web page. Any rights requests we receive will be dealt with as soon as possible and in any event within the maximum time limit set by law from the time we receive them. In some cases, we may need to ask you for a copy of your identity card or other identification document if we need to verify your identity.

You may withdraw your consent in relation to all processing based on your consent at any time. However, withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent prior to its withdrawal.

7. HOW DO WE GUARANTEE THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF YOUR INFORMATION?

The security of your personal data is a priority for us. For this reason, We have implemented all the necessary security measures to guarantee the effective use and processing of the personal data provided by the user, safeguarding the privacy, confidentiality and integrity of the same and making use of the necessary technical means to avoid the alteration, loss, unauthorizedunauthorised access or processing of your data, according to the state of technology at any given time.

Consequently, we comply with the security standards recommended to protect them. However, it is impossible to fully guarantee their security due to the nature of the Internet and because there may be malicious acts by third parties beyond our control. 

We undertake to act promptly and diligently in the event that data security is compromised or compromised and to inform you if relevant.
