Farmers learn to maximize the vertical and horizontal space on their land, manage water and pests, build healthy soils and plan for new on-farm enterprises and greater market access.

Farmers select vegetables, fruit trees and other high value crops to diversify their fields and meet their priority nutritional and market needs.

Implementing agroforestry techniques like alley cropping and living fences not only enriches the soil but also provides a safeguard against harsh winds, ensuring the crops stand tall and robust. Here is a picture of the difference we can make through these strategies.

Despite modern farming efforts, people still face hunger. Through the Forest Garden Approach, we’re ensuring that farmers produce more food, both for their families and communities, reducing hunger and also creating a positive environmental impact.
