Forest Gardens Program earns UN World Restoration Flagship Recognition

We're excited to share that our Forest Gardens initiative, led by Trees for the Future, has been honored as a UN World Restoration Flagship, highlighting it as a key player in achieving the UN’s 2030 environmental objectives.

The program is designed to empower local farmers to revitalize their lands and livelihoods while combating climate change by integrating trees into agricultural lands to create Forest Gardens. These trees provide essential benefits such as shade, improved water retention, and protection from wildlife, enabling farmers to cultivate food sustainably in harmony with nature.

Tree-Nation has been a proud supporter of this transformative program, contributing to the planting of 1.5 million trees in Cameroon, Senegal, Uganda, and Tanzania. Looking forward, we're currently planting over 4 million more trees in 2024 and 2025.

Our vision extends beyond reforestation; we aim to foster community engagement, supporting local communities to become champions of environmental stewardship and collectively address climate change. As we continue our efforts to reforest the world, one tree at a time, we remain dedicated to our mission, working alongside our projects and the global community to restore and protect our planet’s green heritage.
