Replanting the burnt Mkussu Forest

Nursery work has created hundreds of jobs to our three big nurseries.We have employed 8 men and 14 women as monthly paid workers who are filling the polythene tubes with sand and ensure the native tree saplings are well maintained for easy and fast growth of these young trees.

The task of raising more tree saplings in our nursery is an ongoing and all year around activity. Each tree sponsored have a possibility of adding more two employment vacancies in the chain of tree nursery production up to the planting moment.

A couple of few weeks have passed since the visit of Mr.John,Tree-Nation project monitoring officer in Africa .

We are currently arranging polythene tubes with soil mixed with manure to the well managed terraces.Our team is actively managing this huge nursery to ensure that it is full of trees and managed to give employment opportunities to the local community.

This picture says it all as for how the members of the community are benefiting from the project. Now they have an assured supply of food and and hence reduce poverty.

Nursery activities have enabled the communities we serve to get both environmental education and income generation as well which as a result helps to fight climate change and poverty respectively.

Our nursery is full of native tree species such as Prunus africana, Syzygium guineense, Markhamia lutea and Albizia schimperiana just to mention a few are being taken care at our nursery that being ready to heal the planet from degradation.

These are the species of Albizia schimperiana as found at our nursery making sure that all the challenges facing climate will be addressed by these trees as they will be used to heal our planet from degradation.

Today we share good news about our second tree nursery built in Lushoto aimed at raising a big number of tree saplings of more than 12 kinds of native tree species ready for being planted to fight the degradation of the lovely planet we have.

For every single tree planted by us in our project, it yields hope and pave a way for a greener Earth 🌎 that we all depend on to survive.
We are educating the younger generation about the importance of planting trees and conserving the environment.
