We recently stumbled across an Australian Scrub Python having a sleep in one of our revegetation sites. This snake is commonly considered arboreal or tree-dwelling, making it one of the world's largest and longest arboreal species of snakes

The Endangered Spectacled Flying-Fox is one of reasons we are so dedicated to regenerating our native forests.
Spectacled Flying-foxes are forest dwellers and rainforests are their preferred habitat. They prefer to roost in the middle and upper canopy strata in the full sun. Colonies

Last Friday we held a community tree planting event for Australia Day at our El Arish site. We had 17 volunteers attend and planted over 400 trees. We are planting trees for the Spectacled Flying-fox and the Southern Cassowary, both of which are endangered species in our region.

The Bar Shouldered Doves are always fun to watch in the afternoon as they forage for seeds on the ground.
They are a good indicator that our forests are growing. It's heartening to see them move into a new habitat.
