Really excited to highlight our new community nursery on our latest Bore Mau planting site in Narok County. Its been quite hard work for the team, getting it all together but luckily project manager Alex Katana knows everything there is to know about propagating tree seedlings! More

Cashews are centre stage in our nursery at the moment, as we gear up for the coming planting season. These lovely trees are actually related to cactii - they have waxy leaves that reduce transpiration and are able to store up water in their trunks. This makes them incredibly drought

These saplings are just 1.5 years old but have already outgrown an average adult of 6ft! That’s some impressive growth! Nature, when left to thrive, never fails to surprise.

That's Psidium Guajava—sounds like a magic spell, right? But nope, it's just the good old Guava, also known as Peru locally! All organic—once this tree starts bearing fruit, it'll be naturally grown and chemical-free. 🌿✨

When we wait for the rains to come then sometimes the seedlings need a bit of irrigation to keep them from getting thirsty. Lois shows how one woman can carry 10 jerry cans from the planting site back to the watersource for refilling. Well done Lois!
