We collect Abiu (Pouteria caimito) seeds to recover degraded areas in the Amazon Basin. This tropical species, with sweet fruits and versatile pulp used in jellies, soft drinks and ice cream, is strategic in reforestation, as it nourishes local communities and the region's fauna.
