Our project aims to conserve vulnerable tropical forests by working with subsistence farmers in Kenya to promote sustainable agriculture. Research shows that protecting these forests is essential to preventing irreversible climate breakdown. Since 2007, we’ve helped farmers grow new food and timber crops that enhance biodiversity and reduce pressure on the threatened forests, ensuring long-term sustainability.

Casuarina in Boré. We love this tree because its drought resistant, its fast growing, it produces good pole wood after only 5 years and each pole can sell for up to $10 so the farmers only need to harvest around 15 to pay for one years secondary education for one of the daughters.

Rains come to Bore! Better late than never....but the 'Little Rains' have finally arrived and turned everything green. Climate change may feel like a rather abstract concept for most of us in the Northern Hemisphere but it is an everyday reality for all of sub-Saharan Africa these
