Trees for Tigers

Trees for Tigers, Inde

Our project aims to protect the local fauna and restore the habitat surrounding Similipal National Park. This region is crucial as it is home to black tigers, as well as a prime habitat for other wildlife like elephants. Covering 2,750 sq km, Similipal is one of India’s oldest tiger reserves, and safeguarding this area is essential for preserving its unique biodiversity.

A Great Initiative to Improve the Habitat of the Tiger

The plantation of the local tree species will help to develop the overall ecosystem and wildlife habitat of the endangered animal species like Tiger. The plantation will also provide livelihood to the local community, they can use the forest products like flowers, fruits and timbers and earn a sustainable income. The plantation will also help to reduce the man- animal conflict and also help to absorb the greenhouse gases like CO2.

Plant trees, protect fauna and recover heritage. Excellent combination

This project support protection of Tigers thanks to reforestation activities that helps local national parks. Great trees diversity, using big size trees that captures a lot of CO2. Nutritional ones are also key to support target.
Trees are quite affordable and extra benefits of biodiversity impact in Tigers protection is a must. Project is quite mature and is now around 80% of is target. It deserves our support to complete. Key info is shared.
With several local ONG supporting action plan and efforts on land restoration to support also fauna conservation i recommend this project. Keep trees protecting Tigers and helping local heritage and local families. Excellent combination to support
