The project is located in the Maharashtra state which is suffering from severe droughts in recent years due to seasonal water scarcity, limiting the access to potable water of the most marginalized communities in India. Short periods of heavy rainfall and absence of vegetation are major factors for soil erosion and land degradation. Trees protect against soil erosion and make the soil more permeable, thus improving groundwater availability.

Dear Tree-Nation Community!

Thank you for all your support and for planting more than 20.000 trees at our "Trees for Water" project. Please be informed that this project is now complete, as we don't have anymore planting capacity left for this project (except a few lemon trees). But there is still a lot of planting capacity left at our other 3 projects in India: Trees for Tribals, Trees for Slender Loris and Trees for Tiger. Would be great if you could plant more trees in any of these 3 projects. Warm regards and happy holidays from India!

Why the only species I can find to plant in the species list is the Lemon tree?
No supply from the nurseries?

After we received a succesful funding for more than 20.000 trees this project is now complete, as we don't have anymore planting capacity left for this project (except a few lemon trees). But there is still a lot of planting capacity left at our other 3 projects in India: Trees for Tribals, Trees for Slender Loris and Trees for Tiger. Hello plantation team,
please check the set-up of your tree-species that can be planted here. It seems, that
1.) all species compensate 150 kg which is for sure just a default value.
2.) the number of trees that can be planted is ZERO. This should be a reasonable number i.e. a large integer.
