Community Tree Planting in Action!

Significant support from Tree-Nation over 2020 has helped us really expand our main community tree nursery and increase the scale of the project. We were able to propagate 500,000 new seedlings this year which we feel pretty proud about given that it has taken us all of the previous12 years to plant 1 million! Half of the seedlings have now been planted and the balance will follow in the coming 'Big Rains' in the Spring of 2021.

We've been able to buy a new 4WD project vehicle and trailer, specifically for seedling distribution and in these images our team load up our 2 project vehicles from the nursery.

The next step is to get the trees out to the many planting sites. Due to our increased haulage capacity we are now able to supply trees over a much wider area and to 2100 farmers and 125 schools. Here the seedlings are being unloaded at one such site.
