Reforestation of National Forests

Reforestation of National Forests, United States

Our project focuses on restoration, conservation, and wildlife protection. Wildfires and insect infestations have severely damaged these forests, threatening their long-term health. In partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, we manage 154 national forests covering 80 million hectares, working to re-establish seed sources, support regeneration, and strengthen resilience against future infestations.

One thing we do that makes a big difference? We plant with the future in mind. That means using locally adapted seeds—trees that are genetically suited to the exact environment where they’ll grow. It’s a small step that helps build stronger, more resilient forests in the long run

Tree nurseries are essential for successful reforestation. They provide the seedlings needed to restore forests, fight climate change, and protect biodiversity. By carefully maintaining nurseries, we ensure that trees grow strong and are ready to thrive in the wild.

This is the American Beaver.
These little fellas, who are often seen as the enemy of trees, moonlight as ecosystem engineers. As they build their homes and dams across rivers, they create impoundments and wetland areas, which are then used by trout, otters, birds, and bugs.
