Trees for Slender Loris

Trees for Slender Loris, India

Our project aims to create safe habitats for the Grey Slender Loris by planting native trees. Habitat loss from tree-felling has reduced their food sources, shelter, and protection, leading to a population decline. Since these primates rely on continuous forest canopies, fragmentation isolates them, further threatening their survival. Through reforestation, we aim to restore their habitat and support their survival.

Good work to improvement of habitat for Gray Slender loris

It is a good project to improve the habitat of Gray Slender loris because they spend most of their life on trees. Habitat loss, illegal pouching, road accident, etc. are the main cause of decline the population of Gray Slender loris. Gray Slender loris are like to eat insects, fruits, leaves, bird’s eggs, etc. So, this project will be helpful to improve their habitat along with population.

some day

Some day I would like to visit the tree planting sites and watch the slender loris. Having lived in Chennai for 4 years, many many years ago, Tamil Nadu feels like a second home. I'm so happy I can contribute this way. From Holland, lots of love.

Excellent Work

I often plant trees with Grow-Trees and greet my family and friends. Trees planted will provide non-timber forest produce to the rural communities in near future and will also conserve the habitat of Slender Loris.
