This project is located in the beautiful Geita region, which is part of the Lake zone regions of Tanzania.
We launched this project because we noticed that extreme poverty, combined with the effects of climate change, has been a major challenge for the people of Geita. The extraction of minerals from nature has often caused imbalances, which adversely affect the environment. That's why we decided to take action by planting new trees.
The aim of this project is to reduce poverty and conserve the environment among the community living in the Geita region directly by diversifying their income generation and our goal is to create a better future for everyone in the region by promoting sustainable practices that benefit both the people and the environment. Planting trees is one of the most effective ways to reduce environmental degradation and promote sustainable land-use practices.
Since we launched the project, we have already planted over 300,000 trees and helped more than 15,000 people in the process. We're excited about the progress we've made so far and are committed to continuing our efforts to create a better future for Geita region
