Save the Aberdare Forest

A miracle in the catchments as previously degraded lands are turning into productive lands with coffee and Avocados. Lands are being restored and the economy of the people enhanced.

Before: A barren land dotted with tree stumps — once a lush forest, then stripped and silent.
After: A thriving green haven, teeming with life. Nature healed, one tree at a time. 🌳💚

Instead of a cleared space to act as a firebreak, this local species is planted to serve both purposes.

In just 3 years, the Pine tree (Pinus) can soar over 5 meters, making it one of the fastest-growing species! 🌱✨ Loved by birds 🐦 and nature alike, its fallen branches naturally enrich the soil, providing mulch and manure to fuel even more growth. 🌿

Cookstoves by the roadside waiting to be donated to 10 households for their good practice in growing coffee trees.Farmers receive cookstoves as incentives for best practice in conservation.

As we celebrate Earth day this year, we keep our focus on tree planting where we engage our communities to ensure project ownership and benefits.
We are educating communities in sustainable management of plastics as we move towards biodegradable planting Pots .

The area is Semi - arid and more planting and growing is needed to change the landscape.
